Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of CNC machining experience that includes setups, changeovers, and running production
  • Familiar with tooling required for CNC machining process
  • Able to read blueprints, understand machinist math
  • Able to Lift up to 30lbs, Stand for entire shift
Responsibilities:
  • Setup, adjust and operate a variety of CNC Machining centers, Lathes, Mills, Multi-Axis or Swiss
  • Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area
  • Follow set-up procedures , provide accurate inventory counts, complete SPC as needed
  • Ability to calculate and make adjustments to feeds and speeds to maintain tight tolerance
  • Adjusts tools and replace as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret CNC Code
  • Keep area clean and report any issues to the lead of the area

Nelson Numeric is a Sussek Machine Company, located in Bloomington, MN We are looking for an experienced CNC Swiss Setup Machinist -Expert to independently set up, adjust, and operate multi-axis CNC Swiss machines In this role, you will produce tight-tolerance aerospace components from exotic alloys, manage program prove-outs, and troubleshoot machining processes to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency If you excel at reading complex blueprints, editing G & M codes, and supporting continuous improvement, we want you on our team.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience specifically in Swiss turning
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;completion of a 2-year degree in Machining Technology or a CNC machining trade school is preferred
  • Technical Skills: Fluent in G & M codeswith a strong grasp of blueprint reading, math for machinists, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Responsibilities:
  • Setup & Operation: Independently set up, adjust, and operate a variety of multi-axis CNC Swiss machines to meet production and quality goals
  • Programming & Editing: Read, interpret, and edit multi-axis CNC code with live tooling, calculating and adjusting feeds and speeds for exotic alloys
  • Tooling & Maintenance: Adjust and replace tools as needed, pre-set tooling , and perform daily machine maintenance
  • Quality & Inspection: Collect and input SPC data using comparators, CMMs, Trimos, and precision gauges. Maintain accurate inventory counts

  • Setup & Execute: Take full responsibility for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating Doosan Lynx lathes. You’ll handle everything from low-volume prototypes to high-volume production runs.
  • Master Live Tooling: Utilize live tooling capabilities to maximize efficiency and part quality.
  • Quality Authority: Perform First Article and in-process inspections using a full suite of precision tools, including Hard Gaging, Vision Systems, and Optical Comparators.
  • Troubleshoot & Optimize: Diagnose complex machining issues and job problems with minimal supervision. You are the expert at your spindle.
  • Shop Stewardship: Maintain machine health through daily maintenance, chip management, and spindle/collet care to ensure zero-defect production.
Swiss Programmer

The CNC Swiss Programmer is responsible for preparing, creating and reviewing Swiss CNC programs, determining tooling, and machine setup support and troubleshooting where applicable for the production team.
Qualifications:
  • CNC Machinist or equivalent AAS degree or 5-10 year’s of experience required.
  • CNC machining (Aerospace or Medical Device preferred).
  • Strong understanding of CNC Swiss, GD&T, machining principles and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience with tooling selection, process documentation, and machining optimization.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
  • High level proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Gibbs Cam, Mastercam)
  • Knowledge of automation, probing systems, and advanced metrology considered a plus
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, validate, and optimize CNC Swiss programs for aerospace components using Swiss CNC machining centers.
  • Define the applications parameters, tooling strategies, cutting conditions, and work-holding solutions to achieve quality, cost, and throughput targets.
  • Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and improved repeatability.
  • Support machinists and production teams in troubleshooting machining issues, quality defects, and equipment performance concerns.
  • Collaborate with setup machinists and operators to refine G-code, toolpaths, and machining strategies.
  • Select cutting tools, aid in custom cutter design, gauges, and consumables aligned with aerospace requirements.
  • Ensure the applications meet aerospace standards (AS9100, ITAR, customer-specific requirements).
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Implement Application control methods (SPC, capability studies) to maintain consistent machining performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional reviews with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
